Steven Morrison

Steven is working with Esoap producing digital video content for the internet. Steve is the senior copywriter with Esoap.

A writer/director/designer who has been involved extensively in theatre, film and internet on three continents, Steven recently returned from a sabbatical in the USA where he was the videographer in residence at the Park Square Theatre.

Steven was trained in London at the Almeida Theatre in Islington, and has worked in Auckland theatre since 1992 as a technician, designer, operator and production manager. He was responsible for producing and touring live events large and small and has worked most venues in the country.

The creator of a string of music videos (for DFK), Steven has continued to work as a designer in television and theatre. Fifteen years operating and designing live shows for The Edge, Auckland Theatre Company. In 2011 he  produced, directed and designed for Outbox Theatre Company 2011 season in Auckland. Presently he is preparing his second feature film and a new web series for kids.

In 2007 Steven was the writer/director of indie feature STRINGER. Steve wrote and directed for television three series of SHORTCUTS (TV3), and LOST IN PLACE (TV2).

Steve was also technical director for Maori TV’s long running live show COASTS
